Unfair and Unbalanced

Here's a great book most people have overlooked.  Unfair and Unbalanced.  I have it at a set price, so no bidding issues there.

Be sure to check my eBay store for other books that may interest you.  Some are fairly hard to find.

Rare Metal Collectible

If you are a metal fan, you'll want this advance copy of Ozzfest Second Stage Live.  It's a two CD set, and since it is an advance copy, it does not have the artwork/liner notes that came with the release.

Music and metal fans, be sure to visit my eBay store for more cool collectibles.

Spanish Language Version of Addicted to War

Not exactly an easy find, but I have a brand new copy!  You can click here to see it.  This is a store item, so there is no bidding.  Very reasonably priced, too.  Spanish language anti-war books are not a dime a dozen, so you might want to snag this one while you still can.

Star Wars is Back! And So, Too, the Collectibles!

Star Wars is set to return in a big way.  That means all those Star Wars related collectibles are going to skyrocket in price as a new generation gets into the films.  I don't usually sell mine, as I am a collector, but I do have this one oddity that appeals to computer collectors, as well.  It is a rare Mac Addict disc with a lot of Star Wars material on it.  I have probably undervalued it, but regardless it is in my eBay store at one low price.  You can click here for it.

May the Force be with you.

Joy Ride 2 Unrated

I have a copy of Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead Unrated available for sale or trade.  Why aren't I listing it on eBay?  It's a screener copy, so it may differ from what ended up being released.  If you are interested in this, post a comment on here or e-mail me.  I'm open to almost any offer.

Selling Adult Items

Does anyone have any thoughts about selling adult items on eBay versus Naughty Bids?  I know eBay has more "foot traffic," but Naughty Bids is less restrictive.  I have had decent luck with both, but eBay seems inconsistent with its policies.  Anyone else have any experiences with this?

Is eBay Getting Worse

I know people are always complaining about the fee hikes, but does it actually seem like the entire site is getting worse in the past few months?  My sales are way down, and there doesn't seem to be anything good even being posted.  Anyone else feel this way?

Teenagers From Uranus ... Sold!

I sold Teenagers From Uranus a little ways back.  Traffic to it had been directed from this site.  Would you folks like to see more odd and rare movies?  I have quite a few up, but have a ton more I can list, but haven't gotten around to it yet.  If you do want to see them up there, just let me know and I shall make it a priority.

Buying Comic Books on eBay

Lately I've been trying to build my comic book collection back up, and I've been making some purchases on eBay.  Of course, I'm often worried about the condition and whether or not I'm paying too much (I'm aware of the worth of most books).  Shipping is also always an issue, as I think sellers tend to try to make up on the back end there.  What worries me most is reliability, however.  Do you any of you readers know of any good sellers out there?  Hey, feel free to recommend yourself if you are a seller.  I may just stumble onto something I want.

The Problem With Foreign Bidders

Years ago, when I first started doing eBay, I had no problems with foreign bidders.  There was a period when I stopped accepting foreign bids as I had about three foreign bidders in a row who didn't pay.  I eventually went back to accepting the bids, but now it seems like this is the norm again.

Does anyone else have this problem?  If so, what have you done about it?  I'm thinking of not letting foreign bidders bid unless I give them permission.  I know it cuts down on potential sales, but it's starting to become a matter of not wanting the hassle.  I'm curious to hear what anyone else thinks.  Foreign bidders: Yes or no?

Cardinals Fans May Want to See This

I have a 2001 Big Innings Rick Ankiel card (#1) up on eBay.  It is not a store item, so it is up for bidding.  You can see it here.  With the Cardinals winning the World Series, I think this card will go fast, as all things Cardinals are.  Happy bidding, and be sure to check out my other items.

Nothing Men: A Tale of Terror

Instead of promoting what I have in my eBay store this time around, I'll take a moment to discuss my new horror novel, Nothing Men

Before you rush out to purchase it, I have to warn you, this is not for the squeamish.  If your idea of horror begins and ends with Scream, then you will most likely end up traumatized by my story.  If, however, you prefer the likes of Jack Ketchum and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, then this is right up your sick little alley.  (One reader who read a review copy said, "This feels like one of those movies from the '70s and '80s where you knew everyone was going to die."  That was exactly what I was shooting for.)

Longtime readers who have followed my film and book reviews know I'm a big fan of exploitation, and this is my exploitation novel.  Today's marketplace is not exactly friendly to this type of horror.  There are no cute vampires or witches in the swamp.  It is just pure raw horror.  One family on a vacation gets sidetracked in the mouth of Hell.  A dad, mom and teenage daugther in a place where nobody can be trusted, and nothing is quite what it seems.  When the truth of their situation is finally learned, so comes the realization that there is nothing that can be done about it.

The first publisher I sent it off to called the ending "depressing," and he wanted me to change it before he would consider publishing it.  He liked the story, but the ending got to him.  I let him know it was supposed to get to him.  It wasn't supposed to be pleasant.  To change it would be to alter the entire feel of the story, and I was not about to do that.  What is available now is the story in its purest, most horrific form.

The cover, as some of you may recognize, is from a house in Northern California.  It's been covered on various blogs and whatnot.  I took the picture as I was writing this story.  It seemed perfect.  If you have ever seen the house in person, you know why I chose it.

If this sounds interesting, I implore you to read the novel.  If it sounds a little too much, or you want a sample of my horror writing first, I recommend Melinda (which, despite my intentions, is rather loved by a group of fetishists in Britain) or even the very tame A Dead Friend. The links to all of these can be found to the upper right on this blog, and if you like any of these, please feel free to drop me a line or write a review.  I'd love to hear what you think.

Mandatory FTC Disclaimer: These are my stories and if you click on a link I may earn a commission.  Don't say I didn't warn you about Nothing Men, however.

Spanish-Language Anti-War Book

This is a fairly rare item in the world of eBay.  Adicto A La Guerra.  Never read.  Available here in the eBay store.  This makes a perfect and thoughtful gift.  While you are visiting the store, I encourage you to check out some of my other items.  If there is anything special you are looking for, I have plenty more that I'm just waiting to put up.  Drop me a line and let me know.

In Keeping With 9/11 ...

For those of you who never supported the war, I have a copy of the anti-war 2/15 in my eBay store.  You can click here to obtain it.  It is in great shape and is at a really low price.  This is a store item, so there is no buy it now.  I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone, as it will give you an interesting overview of the protests that occurred in light of the war.

Skin Deep in eBay Store

Skin Deep, a little seen but powerful movie, is now available in my eBay store.  You can click here to check it out.  How this movie didn't get more buzz when it came out is beyond me, and you won't find this at your local Target.  I have it, though, and it can be yours with no annoying bidding.  Thanks for looking.

More Items up in eBay Store

I've got more items up in my eBay store, Earth A.D. Auction Vault.  Books, movies, CDs, sports cards, toys and more.  Much of it is rare.  In the coming weeks and months I will be posting even more as I am trying to fund a few trips I need to take.  I appreciate your business, and many of the items are "buy now" and priced to move.  In fact, most of the items aren't auction items, so you don't have to worry about sniping or bidding more than you really wanted.  Thanks for looking.

Another Question

Is it just me, or have buyers from outside the US been a bit more flakey than usual?  I find myself having to turn them in for not paying more than I ever had before.  Usually it's after a series of dead-end e-mails where the same excuses are given and more time is always asked for.  Is anyone else experiencing this sort of thing?

Question

I know many of you who read this blog are also sellers on eBay, so I have a question for you.  What items sell the most for you?  I ask this because for me it used to be my CDs, but now it is kind of scattershot, with no one item category selling more than another.  (The last thing I sold, however, was a CD.)

I'm thinking of flooding my store with items, and I now have no idea what I should focus on, so I'd like to hear from you readers.  What sells best for you, and if you have any ideas why, that would be great to know, too.  Thank you.
